China saw its total import and export trade volume increase by 14.2 percent in 2017, ending two years of negative growth in the process.
Rising global demand and the improved economic situation within its borders both contributed to the growth of the country’s international trade.
According to statistics released by the General Administration of Customs (GAC) on Friday, the world’s second largest economy’s import and export trade volume stood at 27.79tn yuan (US$4.28tn) in 2017, China News Service reports.
