  1. Chiming my own personal experience, I have had a number of different managers in my career. The ones that were highly engaged with me as a person and my long term development with the company – these managers always had a huge impact on my day-to-day job satisfaction. These managers would not only be concerned with the work I was doing, but also helped me to look down the road and also connect with other people in the organization.
